The snowy Uonuma area is comfortably accessible by Shinkansen, car and highway bus. From Tokyo, the Joetsu Shinkansen takes approximately 70 minutes to Echigo-Yuzawa Station and 90 minutes to Urasa Station, making it easy to travel from the Tokyo metropolitan area. By car, it takes about 2.5 hours on the Kan-Etsu Expressway, with direct access to the main courses from each IC. Express bus services are also available, making it an easy location for both day trips and overnight stays. As a base for cycling, it is also convenient for combining sightseeing and hot springs.
